◇ BEYOND THE KEYBOARD ◇
Life Outside Work
When I'm not engineering data platforms or shipping features, I'm out running lakefront trails before sunrise, deep in an open world game, or tinkering with ML models on my personal rig.
Exercise
Lake Michigan is my gym. Chicago is my track.
Swimming
Lake Michigan swims whenever the season allows. Nothing beats open water swim sessions.
Half Marathons
4:30 AM runs along the Chicago lakefront before the city wakes up.
Lakefront Trail
Biking the Chicago Lakefront Trail end to end and back, about 36 miles.
Coding for Fun
The personal lab where the real experiments happen.
KriegerDataForge
A personal platform where my apps use SSO, shared packages, and the same build and deploy setup.
ML & AI
Fine tuning models locally on my workstation and building custom AI agents. My intersection of curiosity and compute.
Video Games
Open worlds, survival builds, and boss fights. The games I keep coming back to.
Minecraft
Terraria
Expedition 33
Crimson Desert
Cyberpunk 2077
Forza Horizon 6
Ghost of Tsushima
Monster Hunter World & Wilds
Dokkan Battle
The one that followed me off the desk and onto my phone.
Ten years of pulling for the units I grew up watching. The board is a puzzle, the rotations are a build order, and a good run comes down to planning three turns ahead. It is the same optimization itch that makes the day job fun.
Carnival LR TEQ Perfect Cell. Recorded on my phone. It starts when you reach it and rolls into the next clip. Hover or tap the clip for sound and full screen, or pick one below.
